Uganda 2nd ITI Scores Per Entity 2024

Overview
The 2024 Infrastructure Transparency Index (ITI) presents a ranking of procuring entities based on their average transparency scores and evaluates Uganda’s overall performance across key dimensions of infrastructure transparency. The assessment measures the enabling environment, institutional capacities and processes, citizen participation, and information disclosure. The results show notable improvements compared to the 2021 Index, reflecting increased commitment by procuring entities to transparency and accountability in public infrastructure delivery. The rankings also highlight variations in performance among central and local government institutions, providing valuable insights to guide reforms and strengthen governance in infrastructure management.

Overview

The Infrastructure Transparency Index (ITI) Uganda Report 2024, developed by CoST Uganda in collaboration with the CoST International Secretariat, assesses the level of transparency and the quality of public infrastructure management in Uganda.

The report provides a comprehensive evaluation of procuring entities across key dimensions, including the enabling environment, institutional capacities and processes, citizen participation, and information disclosure. By measuring and tracking transparency performance over time, the ITI aims to promote accountability, strengthen public institutions, and support evidence-based reforms that improve the planning, delivery, and management of infrastructure projects for sustainable development and better service delivery in Uganda.
